‘Indian Shakespeares on Screen’

Standard

As this intensive Shakespeare year intensifies towards the end of next month, Shakespeareans are spoilt for choice when it comes to great events, exhibitions, performances and more! One of the highlights in my view is the conference on ‘Indian Shakespeares on Screen’ at Asia House accompanied by screenings of Indian film adaptations at BFI Southbank – some never previously shown in the UK! The event is steered by a brilliant team consisting of Thea Buckley, Koel Chatterjee, Varsha Panjwani and Preti Taneja, who are bringing academic and cinematic stars to London, including superstar director Vishal Bhardwaj for roundtable sessions and Q&As.
Look at this schedule of BFI screenings – tickets are available from the BFI site..
